From October of 2022 Foundation for Freedom organised regular sports classes for Ukrainian refugee children and youth residing in Centrum Pomocy Humanitarnej Global Expo (Humanitarian Aid Center Global Expo) on Białołęka in Warsaw. In 2023 we’ve expanded trainings onto new districts and groups, including adults. All classes are free of charge and have an integrative nature – we also invite the local community, including youth with migration experience.

The classes are run by qualified trainers. Children and youth are also taken care of by experienced educators with muliticultural competences, responsible for group organization, safety of the participants on the way to the trainings and back, as well as during them. They also react to participants’ individual needs.

Sport helps to relieve stress and tackle fears, and a group of peers provides a safe environment to deal with hard emotions. Regular meetings prevent risky behaviour, leaving school or entering conflicts with law.
